LEWISTOWN, Pa. – Summer is quickly winding to a close and the days are getting shorter which can only mean one thing – the 2025 Central Keystone Youth Football & Cheer League (CKYFCL) season is just around the corner. The 2025 season is slated to officially begin on Monday, July 28 when preseason practice begins for each of the league’s six teams.
With practices beginning on Monday evening, parents are reminded that if they have not signed their children up to participate yet that sign-ups will only be accepted through Sunday, July 27 at 11:59 p.m. There will be no sign-ups accepted on Monday evening.
Along with the start of preseason practices, the league is pleased to announce its 2025 Preseason Pool Party for league participants. This season’s pool party will coincide with the final preseason league meeting on Thursday, August 14 at Lewistown’s Rec Park Pool. The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. with only children signed up to participate in the 2025 season being invited to participate.
League officials would also like to remind fans and parents that the league’s 2025 schedule will be released in the coming weeks after preseason practices are underway and weigh-ins are complete.
The CKYFCL is a 501c3 registered non-profit organization benefitting the more than 500 children across a four-county area in Central Pennsylvania. In addition to healthy competition, the league aims to provide an equal opportunity for the youth of Central Pennsylvania to learn important skills in teamwork while forming friendships and bonds that can last a lifetime.
