LEWISTOWN, Pa. – Two weeks of preseason preparations are in the books and the Central Keystone Youth Football & Cheer League (CKYFL) has announced its slate of games for the 2024 season.
The fall recreational league welcomes players and cheerleaders of all skill levels with Mighty Might, Pee Wee and Midget divisions providing the excitement of local youth football. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their athletic abilities, build lifelong friendships, and experience the thrill of participation in competitive sports.
As the calendar turned to August, the CKYFL opened the season in earnest with the start of preseason heat acclimation for all levels of competition. The slate of regular season games starts on Sunday, August 25 and concludes on October 27.
After the conclusion of the regular season, the league will once again host post-season activities for all divisions as a part of the 2024 Bowl Weekend. Dates, locations and times are still to be announced for the end-of-season crowning of league champions.
Fans and family are encouraged to visit the team pages for individual team schedules while utilizing the standings menu to follow the league throughout the season. For the first time, fans and parents can also access a downloadable schedule which can be added to mobile devices. Downloadable schedules are available on each team’s individual schedule page.
The CKYFL is a 501c3 registered non-profit organization benefitting the more than 600 children across a four-county area in Central Pennsylvania. In addition to healthy competition, the league aims to provide an equal opportunity for kids between the ages of 5 and 13 to learn important skills in teamwork while forming friendships and bonds that can last a lifetime.
