LEAGUE CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR COACHES AND OFFICERS (ACT 153 AND ACT 34)

The Central Keystone League is committed to protecting the safety, security and health of the children in our program. Background checks are the first and most effective means of protecting minors from abuse by screening out potential abusers before they interact and have contact with minors.
Coaches Requirements
A team’s coaching staff is in complete charge of the team whenever it is together on the practice or playing field, traveling as a group to and from practice sessions and games, or together for any team function, such as a banquet. The coaching staff is under the direction of the Head Coach all other coaches are Assistant Coaches. The following applies to all coaches: A Head Coach must be at least 21 years of age. A rostered adult representative (21 years or older) must be present for practices, games, and functions. **You are responsible for your team, including players and parents. Please remind everyone to be on their best behavior during events, as this is a reflection of your team!** An Assistant Coach must be at least 18 years of age and no longer in high school. A football team may have a maximum of four assistant coaches, plus a maximum of one Coach-Trainee, one Equipment Manager, one Trainer, one Team Parent and one Administrator.
* Note: If you have completed any of these clearances since July 2016 for employment or other volunteer opportunities (baseball, church, etc.) you DO NOT need to complete this process again; however, you are required to provide a copy of each clearance certificate to your team/organization and the Central Keystone Football & Cheer League before participation in any league activities. Volunteer Clearances must be renewed every 60 months. There is a fee if you are applying for a new clearance prior to the 5 years experation of your current clearance. Please save all user names, passwords and reference numbers as CKL does not have access to these documents. YOU MUST PROVIDE CLEARANCES BEFORE YOU CAN BE ON THE FIELD! No acceptions will be made!
PA Child Abuse History Clearance ( ACT 153)

Upon completion, please provide two (2) copies of your certificate to an officer within your organization. **Please be prepared to supply all addresses, household members and previous names used since 1975.

FINGERPRINT CHECK (ACT 114)
(only necessary for volunteers who have lived outside the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at any point during the last ten (10) years)
Upon completion, please provide two (2) copies of the Fingerprint receipt to an officer within your organization.
